Held in Missouri wine country, the event includes wine tastings of over 60 wines from 13 Missouri wineries. | The Golden Jubilee 50th Anniversary Art in the Park is a show of fine art and fine craft set on the grounds of Stephens Lake Park at Broadway and Old 63. 125 artists will show their work in this lovely park in my beautiful home town. Included will be wonderful musical performances, fun children's art activities, wine tastings, and great food. New this year will be ArtCycle, a parade and competition of decorated bicycles, with prizes up to $1000. The show begins with a Preview Party Friday night, 6-7 pm. | Smoky Hill River Festival |
| The Best Day Trip in the State of Kansas! Two national competitions bring 150 outstanding exhibitors to the Festival's Fine Art Show and Four Rivers Craft Market (look for me at the Craft Market). A symphony of contrasts, the Smoky Hill River Festival is an event with an uptown sensibility presented in the most beautiful and historic of Salina's parks. You'll find the vibrant sounds of musical instruments and voices, blended with colorful artwork and installations everywhere you look. Mix in the aroma of outdoor cooking and yu're in for the best party of the year. The show is held at Oakdale Park, adjacent to Salina's Bicentennial Center. Tickets for the weekend are $7 in advance, $10 at the gate, and children 11 and under are FREE! Free parking. | |

| Christmas in July |
| The Liberty Center Association for the Arts sponsors this mid-Missouri show of fine art and fine craft, featuring many Best of Missouri Hands juried members. The show takes place at the north end of the WalMart parking lot at 3201 W. Broadway (Highway 50) in Sedalia MO. Despite the name, the show is not particularly themed to Christmas items. Expect clothing, accessories, jewelry, decorative home furnishings, and all manner of gift items. Show begins with a Friday Night Gala. In addition, truly gourmet food gifts and gorgeous flowering plants are offered for sale by the Parents' Association. You won't want to miss this fabulous show!
