Welcome to Ampersand Cards
Ampersand Cards are written and designed by Kay Foley and produced by hand,
one at a time, in the heart of the USA, where I was born and raised. They
have a Midwest flavor, are touched by the romance of the changing seasons,
and there's a practical side to their whimsy.
The cards are available wholesale through this website in wholesale quantities. Or you may purchase individual cards at one
of the many wonderful stores and galleries that carry Ampersand cards in
the U.S. and England. If you do not (alas!) live near a store that carries
my cards and know of a store that simply must have them, by all means
recommend us to each other! Finally, I show the cards and my framed
narrative collages at art festivals throughout the Midwest. If we're
lucky, perhaps we'll see each other at one of them!

I am happy to report that I have loaded up my Cafepress pages with lots of fun new designs on magnets, water bottles, T-shirts, keychains, jackets and even baby items! Some are rather irreverent and some are inspirational (as usual). I always have said I'm well-rounded. River City Rubber Works has just come out with a collection of stamps featuring my verses! You can view them online here and/or you can order a paper catalog that includes all my stamps, plus ideas for making cards with them.
The company is the brainchild of three wonderful women I met at the Wichita Art and Book Fair this May. We hit it off and they asked me to collaborate with them on a new set of stamps. They have a fat catalog filled with loads of stamps, ranging from the whimsical to the philosophical, from verses and alphabets to nostalgic photo stamps, from scrapbooking supplies to all sorts of crafts ephemera. The catalog itself is worth the price for all the humor you\\\'ll find along the way. Mary, Dana, and LeAnn are three great gals and I know you\\\'ll love what they have to offer. Have a look!

It's here!! My first ever, brand new, long-awaited book, MERRYTHOUGHTS, is finished and available! It's a collection of verses from my cards and collages, along with some of my daily poems. To those of you who have asked me to put together a book, THANK YOU and HERE IT IS! You may order a copy directly through me by calling or emailing.
MERRYTHOUGHTS is also available at fabulous Prairie Lights Books (the literary light of the prairie since 1978) in hip and happenin', friendly, wonderful, beautiful artsy Iowa City IA, one of my very favorite towns to visit, right here in the beautiful Midwest.

| I have met many wonderful people at shows and handed most of you my business card with this website address. Although the website does not yet picture all the narrative collages you've seen in my booth, you can easily order them by email. It's a simple process. Look through the cards and choose verses you like. Contact me with your choices by stock number or some key words, specifying size and color scheme. (You will see how when you click on the card you'd like in collage form.) I will make them and ship them to you. They're available in 8 1/2" x 11" or 16" x 20" sizes, at $25 or $30 (unframed/framed) and $85, respectively, plus shipping. You may specify blues/purples, reds/oranges, pale colors, or earth tones. You may also have seen the Four Seasons, Dragonfly, Cat Burglar, Demon or any of my Mad Hatters at shows, and you may order those by email, as well. | |
